Speaker 1:

Christmas can be a really difficult time. So if this Christmas you're feeling alone or weighed down by sadness of everything that you've been through, this episode is for you. I know what you're going through and you're not alone. While the world seems to be celebrating, I want to remind you that love is closer than what you think. It's actually within you and there's so many of us just like you, and I want you to talk about today how, yes, we have had to live in fear, but today, perhaps, you can choose love over fear, no matter what they have tried to do to you. I know it's really hard, but you can find love, light and hope. We'll explore how love, unconditional healing and transformation can guide us. We're going to draw the timeless teachings of Rumi and Christ and we'll share wisdom and simple actions to help comfort you in your heart this Christmas, your heart this Christmas.

Speaker 1:

Loneliness and sadness can feel heavier during the holidays. It's okay to feel this way. You're not broken for struggling. You're not a failure for the situation you're in, and nor are you alone. As Rumi teaches, don't grieve. Anything you lose comes around in another form In these moments of loss or longing for that family that you could never have because of that one person. Remember that love never truly leaves us, because it's within us and, as Christ invites because, after all, it is Christmas Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. This is the time to let go of expectations and embrace where you are that's where the journey to healing begins and let go of everything to the Christ within, acknowledge your pain and believing that, even now, love is possible and love will heal, because Christ is love In every moment.

Speaker 1:

We're faced with a choice love or fear. Fear says you're alone, no one cares, and you've heard that. You've heard that from the narcissist or the toxic individuals. But love says you, you are enough and you are loved so dearly. You don't have to do anything, you are just unconditionally loved. And Rumi reminds us your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. And it's important to remember what you had to do was build barriers within yourself against the love within yourself, because that was the only way to survive with a toxic person. But now, now you can choose another way and Christ calls us into action. Way and Christ calls us into action. Love one another as I have loved you. That includes you. You must love yourself as Christ loves you.

Speaker 1:

Choosing love doesn't mean ignoring the pain. It means facing it within you with compassion. It's forgiving yourself for your past mistakes, embracing who you are, loving who you are, extending kindness to yourself. Even when it feels hard. Love is always the bravest choice. It takes courage to love oneself. So let's talk about the small ways to choose love over fear today.

Speaker 1:

Rumi said be like a tree and let the dead leaves drop. Just reflect on what's weighing you down right now. Is it sadness? Is it resentment, self-doubt or fear? Just imagine yourself for a moment and be the tree and visualize yourself laying go white autumn leaves. They're all falling to the ground. Forgive yourself and others.

Speaker 1:

Christ's powerful words on forgiveness words forgive them. They don't know what they are doing. Forgiveness isn't excusing hurtful behavior. It's about freeing your heart to welcome peace, to let it go because you are worthy of it, not because they're worthy of forgiveness. It's about acknowledging what they did, knowing what they did, accepting what they did and knowing that they are not capable of anything else, and forgiving yourself for not seeing it because you wasn't able to see it at that time, but now you see it and you see you're worthy of letting it go. Whatever you do for one of the least of these, you did for me.

Speaker 1:

Small actions remind us of the love that connects us all. Love is what connects us. Thinking of you today is what is making me feel connected. Thank you for listening to me. I know I'm not alone and know that you're not alone. Because it's of you I'm making this podcast and I know that someone else is going to be listening it too. So we're all here together, as a group, listening to this, thousands of us listening to this together. You're not alone. Rumi inspires us to send love outward. Your soul is a light, me and I. To you and all the people that are listening right now. Someone else is feeling exactly the way you feel right now, and then let's send out our love to everyone, every single person on this earth.

Speaker 1:

Christ teaching is do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Let christmas be a moment to simply be, to breathe, to simply be To breathe. Every time you choose love, you create a ripple effect. Rumi says with life as short as a half-taken breath, don't plant anything but love. And Christ tells us you are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Your love, even if it's a kind thought or gesture, can light up someone's darkness, and in doing so you transform not only your life but the lives around you. But there's many. They're just waiting for your smile, waiting for you to light up their life, for you to light up the room from your smile. You are needed. You are the light of the world.

Speaker 1:

This Christmas, remember that love is not something far away. It's already within you. Rumi invites us, there is a field. I'll meet you there. And Christ reassures us. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age. So just take a moment now to repeat this affirmation with me. Take a deep breath in and sigh it out I am worthy of love, I am enough. I am not alone. Heaven is with me and all my friends listening right now. Thank you for letting me share this Christmas with you. If this touched your heart, show it with someone whom I need it to. You are, after all, the light of the world and your love is the greatest gift of all. Merry Christmas.
